What are the benefits of testing?
Testing can provide a framework for understanding oneself. It can explain challenges faced throughout a person's life and offer a sense of identity. This can be empowering and lead to greater self-acceptance.

Targeted Support & Therapies
Following a diagnosis, people can access therapies and support designed to address their specific needs. This could include speech therapy, occupational therapy, or social skills training. These interventions can significantly improve a person's quality of life and help them thrive in areas they might have previously struggled.
A diagnosis can connect individuals and families with a community of others who share similar experiences. Support groups and online forums can provide invaluable social connection, shared experiences, and access to additional resources.
Access to Support Networks
A diagnosis can ensure people receive appropriate accommodations. This might involve modifications to a learning environment, individualized instruction, access to assistive technologies, or appropriate employment accommodations.
